Gustavo Trujillo Earns Ninth Career Knockout to Defend Heavyweight Crown at BKB 58
At BKB 58, held at Miami's James L. Knight Center, Gustavo "The Cuban Assassin" Trujillo secured his ninth bare-knuckle knockout victory, successfully defending his BKB Heavyweight World Title. He defeated former champion Mick Terrill, who stepped in on short notice. The decisive blow, a powerful shot to the liver, came in the final seconds of the second round. Following the bout, Tyson Fury, the former Unified, WBC, and Lineal Heavyweight Boxing World Champion, presented Trujillo with his championship belt. Fury also hinted at a potential move to BKB if the financial incentives are right.
In the co-main event, Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa, at 44 years old, showcased his enduring skill by outpointing Yesner Talavera over five rounds in a super lightweight bout. BKB CEO David Tetrault noted the event's record-breaking viewership on TikTok, highlighting the growing popularity of bare-knuckle boxing.
